Plastic recycling and remanufacturing — from material recovery to finished products. We process post-consumer and post-industrial plastic across commodity, engineering, and high-performance polymers — keeping material in the economy, not in landfill.
Australia generates 3.2 million tonnes of plastic waste every year. Only 12% is recovered — the lowest recovery rate of any waste category in the country. The rest goes to landfill, is exported, or leaks into the environment. Since China closed the door on foreign waste in 2017, the crisis has only deepened.
Meanwhile, Australian manufacturers import virgin plastic because there isn't enough domestic recycled supply to meet demand. The infrastructure gap is structural — and it's exactly where CRA operates.
Emmy-nominated investigation revealing how the plastics industry promoted recycling for decades despite privately doubting it would ever work. Less than 10% of plastic ever produced has been recycled.
Watch on PBS.org →Australian edition. Exposing how tactics from the global plastics industry have kept consumers believing recycling solves the problem — while waste piles up in our backyards.
Watch on ABC.net.au →Feature-length documentary exposing the ugly truth behind plastic pollution and the false solution of plastic recycling, from fossil fuel extraction to global resistance.
Watch Documentary →We close the loop that's broken. Plastic waste enters our facility, and specification-grade material and engineered products come out — keeping resources in the economy, not in landfill.
South Australia generates tens of thousands of tonnes of rigid plastic waste annually — from post-consumer containers to post-industrial manufacturing scrap. Most is baled and exported or sent to landfill. Very little is processed locally into specification-grade material that manufacturers can reuse directly.
Circular Recycling Australia fills this gap. We process the full polymer spectrum — from commodity plastics (PE, PP, PET) through to engineering and high-performance materials (PA66, PC, PMMA, PBT, PEEK, PPS and more) — delivering clean, quality-controlled recycled material back to Australian manufacturers.
Incoming PET containers sorted by colour and grade. Contaminated or mixed streams rejected at intake.
Industrial granulator reduces material to 10–15mm flake. Hot wash and friction wash removes labels, adhesives, and residues.
Centrifugal drying to <1% moisture content for downstream processing.
NIR spectroscopy and RGB-based sorting ensures maximum purity by material type and colour.
Clean flakes weighed, bagged, and dispatched to manufacturers. Full batch traceability maintained.
Industrial plastic scrap sorted by resin type (PE, PP, PVC, PS, POM, PET, PA66, PC, PMMA, PBT, PVDF, ASA, PEEK, PI, PPS, PEI and more) and colour. Injection moulded and extrusion streams separated by rheological properties.
Shredder and crusher reduces components and clean purgings to 5–7mm regrind. All equipment fitted with dust separators for quality output.
Clean regrind bagged and dispatched to manufacturers. Full batch traceability maintained.
Clean, hot-washed and colour-sorted PET, HDPE, and PP flakes at 10–15mm particle size. Suitable for injection moulding, direct extrusion, blow moulding, or as pelletiser feedstock.
Clean, dust-separated regrind across the full polymer spectrum — commodity through high-performance engineering plastics. Segregated by resin type and flow properties (MFI and shear rate) for injection and extrusion process streams.
100% recycled structural profiles — posts, bollards, sleepers, decking. Rot-proof, termite-proof, graffiti-resistant. 50+ year lifespan with zero maintenance.
Phase 2 — Planned
IV improvement technology for PET and pelletising capability across all recycled resins — containers and rigid plastics.
We accept and process over 20 polymer types across the full spectrum — from high-volume commodity plastics to specialist engineering and high-performance resins. If your material is on this list, we can process it.
Not listed? Contact us — we regularly assess additional resins and blends. If it's thermoplastic, we can likely process it.
Process control driven by deep polymer science. Material sorted by resin, colour, and flow properties (MFI, shear rate) to deliver consistent output manufacturers can trust.
Commodity to high-performance: PE, PP, PET, PVC, PA66, PC, PMMA, PBT, PVDF, PEEK, PPS, PEI, and more. Few Australian recyclers cover this range.
Technical leadership across the full plastics lifecycle — material selection, product design, tooling, advanced polymer processing, and recycling. PhD-level business strategy.
Separate processing lines for PET container recycling and rigid plastic regrinding — each optimised for its material characteristics and end-market requirements.
Send us your manufacturing scrap. We regrind it to specification. You buy back high-quality material at lower cost than virgin resin. Your waste stays in your supply chain.
Deliver your manufacturing offcuts, purgings, or reject parts to our facility.
Shredding, granulating, and dust separation to produce clean, specification-grade regrind.
Receive your own material back as high-quality regrind — at a fraction of virgin resin cost.
Reduce waste disposal costs, lower input costs, and demonstrate circular economy credentials.
Deep experience spanning material selection, product design, tooling, processing, and recycling — not just one link in the chain.
We don't stop at PE and PP. Our expertise covers engineering resins (PA66, PC, POM) through to high-performance materials (PEEK, PPS, PEI).
Formal qualifications in polymer science and engineering underpin everything we do — from process design to quality control.
Advanced knowledge in strategy, operations, and organisational leadership — built on scalable business models and long-term growth planning.
We don't just recycle — we remanufacture. From waste receival through to finished product, the entire value chain is under one roof.
Every batch is processed to specification — sorted by resin, MFI, colour, and end-use application. Material that performs, not just material that exists.
We transform low-value plastic waste into specification-grade materials and durable manufactured products — real products for real applications.
Every process, product, and partnership is designed to keep material cycling — reducing landfill, lowering emissions, and building a genuinely circular plastics economy in Australia.
We receive sorted HDPE, PP, and PET from Container Deposit depots across SA.
Automotive, food manufacturers, FMCG, mining, agricultural, construction — Deliver your rigid plastic waste to our facility — both large and small components, as well as purged material from moulding or extrusion machines. We accept all industrial plastic scrap: commodity, engineering and high performance (PE, PP, PVC, PS, POM, PET, PA66, PC, PMMA, PBT, PVDF, ASA, PEEK, PI, PPS, PEI and more).
Partner with us to divert rigid plastics from landfill with full traceability.
Injection moulders, blow moulders, pipe and profile extruders — consistent, high-quality recycled material for your production lines.
